It's with a very heavy heart that I have to make this post. My son, Justin, 37 years old, passed away Friday, March 21st, at the hospital after suffering a severe heart attack. Shock and disbelief are still words I would use to describe all of us.
Justin was married to Cody in 2020. They just purchased their first home a little over a year ago. They worked hard to remodel it and were in the process of adding another room. Both Justin and Cody loved the simple life, being outdoors. They have a garden, chickens, pigs, goats, ducks, a couple of cats, and their precious pups. They worked hard to have this life they dreamed of.
In the blink of an eye, everything has changed forever. I talked to Justin just a few hours before he passed. He was working from home in his office. A few hours later, he called my sister, who is a nurse, because he didn't feel good. She was there in a matter of minutes, got him to the ER, and held his hand, telling him he was going to be okay. He told her, "Nothing can happen to me; Cody doesn't have anyone to take care of him." He coded in the ER twice, and his heart had too much damage.
Cody isn't able to work due to previous injuries, and Justin was their sole provider for their needs. Per Cody's request, there will be a service, and we are trying to figure out how we can help him through this very tragic time without worrying about the bills. If you can donate to this fund, it will be used for any expenses needed for Justin's final expenses and Cody's expenses he is going to incur in the near future.
I would just like to ask for prayers for myself and my family to help us cope with this unimaginable loss! Bless you all, hug your loved ones tight, and tell them you love them; you may not get another chance.
