Dear, family, friends, coworkers, and supporters,

It’s me, Christina Moore – Local 1 Stagehand soon to be IATSE Local 1 Member (Next Month!!) (They moved me up because May is very busy) and I am looking for support to help raise funds to pay my initial union fee: $2,000. (2300 to help cover gofund fees)

Ever since I was in the Roundabout program (TWDP), My interest of being a staghand piqued. Firstly, I would like to thank the trainers, production teams, and crew members who have taught me so much over the years. I've worked in many places (TWDP, The Met Opera, The Beaumont, The Shed, NBC, The Apollo, Hudson Scenice plus so many more) and all my hard work is finally paying off!

I didn't have a lot of resources growing up and I've doubted if I'd make it in this field especially after the pandemic. Having my journey interrupted by the pandemic was hard, but I made it work nonethless. I was able to bounce back in 2021 when I started my first local 1 gig at The Met Opera, where I did stage lighting and ran followspots for over a year. From 2021-2022 I made my two years of local 1 money then went on to freelance in year three and the rest is history. Through the training program, mentorships, and work opportunities, I’ve grown professionally and as a person and I'm genuinely so proud to say I will be getting my card on February 23rd 2025.
