In Memory of Carlene & Marc Supporting Their Family After a Tragic Loss

On October 6, 2025, a terrible tragedy struck in Waterbury, CT, when Carlene Williams (51) and Marc Adams (55) were fatally shot in their home.   Their son, Javian Adams (25), has been arrested and charged with murder with special circumstances, criminal use of a weapon, and other related charges.  

My name is Amanda Adams, and I am the daughter of Carlene and Marc. I am the organizer and beneficiary of this fundraiser. All donations will go directly to me, and I will be using them solely to cover funeral and burial expenses for my parents, along with related memorial arrangements.

According to police, the shooting was premeditated: Carlene was shot twice and Marc was shot in the back of the head.   Authorities described the case as one of “extreme domestic violence.”   The family had reportedly been arguing about finances prior to the incident, and the suspect has a documented history of violent offenses and prior legal issues.  

This loss has left the surviving family members friends, extended family, and those left behind in a difficult position. Funeral, memorial, and legal expenses will quickly become overwhelming. Many are also dealing with emotional trauma, grief, and the sudden void left by Carlene and Marc’s absence.

Purpose of This GoFundMe:

We are creating this fund to help cover:

    •    Funeral and burial services for Carlene and Marc

    •    Short-term financial relief for immediate family (living expenses, memorials, etc.)

    •    Counseling or mental health support for grieving loved ones

NO FUNDS WILL BE USED FOR LEGAL ISSUES.
