Assist Amanda in Her Father's Final Journey

Hello, my name is Amanda, and several months ago, my dad was diagnosed with lung and bone cancer. He spent several months undergoing chemotherapy treatments, but unfortunately, his condition worsened and was deemed terminal by his doctors. He is now in hospice care where he will be kept comfortable until he succumbs to this horrific disease. My daughter and I have been by his side for the entirety of his illness, and I have been making daily visits to the care center in order to support him, care for him, and try to keep his spirits up. I am currently on leave from work and hope to spend as much time with him as possible while I also try to put all of his affairs in order. Aside from the obvious funeral arrangements, there are also other matters that I find myself needing to resolve. Cleaning out his apartment and moving his personal belongings to storage is a priority because he is no longer living there and will not be returning home.

Anyone that knows me knows that I am indeed independent and highly self-sufficient, but this whole situation has set my normally routine life into turmoil. And right now, being off from work and facing several unexpected financial challenges, I really need to reach out and ask for support from my family, my friends, those of you who know my dad, and anyone who might be able and willing to help us get through this difficult process.

Due to my father’s limited income, complications with chemotherapy side effects causing him multiple hospitalizations, and how fast things have happened. My father was not able to make any arrangements or get his affairs in order before this ugly disease took his mental and physical abilities from him. I am praying I will be able to give him a proper last journey when god decides to end his suffering and call him home.
