Assist Amanda in laying her mom to rest!

I’m Amanda my mom Dawn went into the hospital on Thursday September 5th, she was acting very out of it, weak and not her normal self, She got to the hospital and they did testing and it turned out she had a uti that went into her blood stream causing sepsis, they life flighted her to a hospital in Detroit and there she got more testing done she also had a infected gullbladder, they put her in a vent and gave her a central line due to her blood pressure not stabilizing, she got a mri done and she flat lined 3 times and they got her to come back, I told them no more tests from that day forward she gets stressed when they lay her down, well let’s fast forward to today, I got a call and was told that she isn’t improving that the infection is attacking her lungs and the vent is 100% keeping her alive, I’m not okay. My mom is my best friend. They told me I had to start thinking about the two options I have, 1 being my mom gets a trach and goes to a nursing home, mind you she isn’t awake she opens her eyes but can’t do anything else, or 2 I take her off the vent they take her off all meds and they get her comfortable and she gets pain meds to pass peacefully. I about fell to the floor. The nurse gave me a heads up days ago that this call would be coming. My heart is so broken. She’s been in there on the vent for 10 days now. With little to no change, I’m looking to raise money for gas to get back and fourth to the hospital as she’s an hour away from me and I’m not currently working. I also am raising money for her cremation and her urn that she will go in. I’m sorry if this is a lot to read and I appreciate everyone who takes the time to donate and help me and my family through this. I appreciate everyone that prayed for her health to improve. She isn’t gone yet but I know what’s coming and I want to be prepared.

update 9/17

Ive decided that tomorrow 9/18 my mom will be taken off the vent so she can pass peacefully without pain and suffering anymore. Please pray and share if you can’t donate.

9/18 update:

my mom passed away around 10pm peacefully, I want to make sure I cherish her wishes and that’s to be cremated, I don’t want her to stay in a plastic box as that’s not how she would wanna be.

my mom was able to give her liver and kidneys to people in need. And that to me is beautiful. She gave the gift of life.
