Assist Adam's Family with Funeral Costs

3 years ago, our stepdad, Adam, was diagnosed with heart failure. He has undergone many procedures and sifted through many medications trying to find his new normal. During that time, doctors installed a heart ICD to shock and restart his heart if it were to stop beating.
6 weeks ago, Adam was hit back to back by his ICD after his heart stopped. For the last 6 weeks since then, he has been hospitalized, fighting for his life. The doctors have exhausted all options to keep him moving forward, and because his condition is so unstable, they are very limited on what they can do for him. The shock from his ICD sent his organs into shock, which threw him into kidney and liver failure, which then set off a chain of events that came very close to ending his life. Doctors lined up a procedure to upgrade his ICD to help his heart pump more efficiently, but then came to a screeching halt when they found a blood clot blocking his main artery, which then made him ineligible for the procedure.
Now, three days later, the doctors are out of options, and they are sending him home on hospice. Many of us unfortunately know the challenges faced when a loved one passes away: grieving, funeral expenses, and bills that don't stop rolling in. Your whole world comes crashing, but everything else remains the same, and life around you still goes on. My mother has been out of work for the last 6 weeks, not leaving Adam's side. Now that we know he is going home on hospice, she will be out of work even longer. Her personal bills are piling up with shut-off notices, and funeral expenses are about to pile up, and she is drowning, even trying to catch a breath.
My main goal is to help her raise the funds for his funeral expenses. Anything after that would just be a blessing for her. It takes a lot for people who are too proud and independent to ask for help. She would never do that, so I'm doing it for her. A like, a share, a comment—anything to have more eyes on their story and hoping and praying that the community is enough to pull together what's needed for a proper funeral. Because that... everyone deserves.
