Assist a Family in Crisis After Tragic Injury

Most of you know that I sell food, Downtown Minneapolis, to provide another source of income to take care of my financial responsibilities at home and to take care of my four boys. The early morning of Monday, July 8, 2024, a senseless act of violence took place and I was caught in the crossfire. I was hit by a stray bullet that pierced through my leg, caused a bone fracture, sprained ankle and nerve damage.

I was rushed to the hospital where I was told that not only would I need to be off my feet for an initial 8 weeks, but I will also require surgery to fix the nerve damage which will add more time. I have been in an incredible amount of pain and cannot walk without assistance.

Because of this, I am no longer able to provide for my family. In addition, we recently lost power to our home and lost all of the groceries I was able to get to sustain us for a while.

I am not one to ask for help but in these circumstances, I have no other options. I ask that if you are able to make a monetary donation to assist with my housing responsibilities and to provide food for my family, it would be incredibly appreciated.
