I am a 50-year-old woman with a serious disease of the liver. I also have fibromyalgia and neuropathy, which all cause me much pain and many medical bills. I work as an adjunct lecturer at CUNY, a job that I enjoy and have succeeded in for many years. But as an adjunct, when I don't work, I don't get paid.

I will not have any classes for the summer, meaning that I will not have any income until September. I need to pay for my co-pays and for food and bills for myself and my 11-year-old daughter. I am obviously desperate, or else I would not ask for money this way. I thank anyone who reads this and has it in their heart to be able to contribute.
