Can you help save Assis the springer spaniel?

Hi, my name is Katey and I'm hoping this fundraiser will help pay for the medical tests/procedures as well as a blood transfusion for Assis, the lovely doggie in the picture.

Assis is a springer spaniel who is 10 years old. His favourite thing to do is swimming in the sea or going to the forest to run about and explore. Assis lives with his mum Anya, and his brother Gizzy. Both Assis and Gizmo are rescues, neither having a great start in life until Anya saved them. Assis has been as much support to Anya as she has been to him. He deserves to grow old and he needs these tests and blood transfusions to give him a fighting chance.

I met Anya at the end of 2022 and she very quickly became a mentor and close friend. Which also allowed me to help out with the boys and quickly fall in love with them. Anya and her doggies have helped me so much over the past year and a half, that it’s difficult that I can’t help out more. I decided that making this gofundme was one way in which I could try and ease some of the strain on Anya and hopefully get Assis the medical attention he needs.

Assis is severely anaemic, with his last blood count standing at only 10 (should be 35-57)!! Many tests have been carried out, with all of them coming back negative or inconclusive. Assis’s blood seems to be a bit of an anomaly with everyone scratching heads as to what is going on and we need to buy them some time.

It is very unfortunate timing that both Gizmo and Assis became ill around the same time, and with vet bills adding up this blood transfusion/treatment/tests are financially impossible to keep up with without any help.
