Aspen was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes

Hey there, if you know Bart, Chelsie, and the Herje family like I do, you know how sweet, loving, hard working, and faithful they are. You also know that they won’t be happy that I’m doing this on their behalf. They are givers, servers, and lovers. They will do anything for anyone and go out of their way to take care of them and help them. They serve their community and God with all of their hearts.

Over the past couple weeks their 9 year old daughter starting showing some concerning symptoms. They got blood work done and received a call Thursday (September 8th) that they need to take her to the ER. Diabetes type 1 was confirmed and they were told they needed to transport her from Abilene to Cooks Children's Hospital in Fort Worth.

Aspen is doing well and the Herje family are learning how to adjust their lives to serve their daughter and make the changes they will

need to make to set her up for success.

Bart and Chelsie both being small business owners, don’t have any health insurance. I wanted to start this as a way to bless them and surround them with our love and support during this time.

All money raised will go toward the ambulance ride from Abilene to Fort Worth, hospital bills and medical equipment for Aspen.
