Hello Everyone,
Sunday May 13th 2024 at 1:30 am My 8 year old son woke me up screaming “the fire alarms are going off. I shot out of bed to see smoke and smelling fire. When we went to the living saw more black smoke, looked out on to the porch I saw my living room wall on fire. I grabbed my sons hand and headed to the door. We made sure it wasn’t hot. When we opened the door black smoke punched us in the face we gripped each other tight and run to our safety where my neighbors were waiting.
The Aspen Apartments provided rental insurance that was cheaper than the provider I previously used. During this tragedy I discover the insurance Aspen Apartment provides does not cover personal property so I will not receive any fund to help replace our belongings and home.
I am a single Mom with 2 kids and my parent passed away 15 yrs ago and my grandparents are all deceased. We are currently homeless and stay with my children’s father. We are blessed and humbled for this situation and have been overwhelmed by the out pour of support. My family thanks you for your support and consideration. ❤️
