Hi everyone!

For those of you who may not know, I have been working within dentistry since 2020 and became a qualified dental nurse at the end of 2023.

I have decided to put my skills and knowledge within the dental industry to good use and volunteer for 6 days in a small and isolated village in Morocco!

The charity I will be volunteering for is called Dental Mavericks, who focus on isolated parts of Morocco such as Asni, Rif Mountains and Essaouria.

Dental Mavericks visit each area annually to ensure that children and adults in these rural areas get access to dental care.

My time in Asnia will be focused on providing emergency dental care to those less fortunate, i will be working within a team that will meet the emergency needs of impoverished communities with vital dental treatments and oral hygiene programmes.

The £900 I need to raise will go directly towards dental equipment, such as extraction forceps, gauze, composite, fluoride and dental instruments etc, as well as benefitting the local school which we will be predominantly assisting and providing care for.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, I am so excited to put my knowledge and skills to good use and provide care to children and adults, as well as promoting the importance of oral hygiene.
