Asly Lopez is one of the amazing staff members at Market Burger

She was recently run over by a car in a crosswalk on the W&OD trail on her way to work. She sustained extensive injuries/surgeries including broken ribs, broken leg, shattered pelvis, as well as many stitches in her face. She was at Lansdowne and then Fairfax Inova hospitals for 1 month and now is home recovering. Asly is still in a wheelchair, but with physical therapy and time is expected to make a full recovery!

She has been unable to work and does have out-of-pocket medical expenses and monthly bills. She did not have medical insurance at the time of the . The accountable drivers insurance ultimately will be responsible for her medical bills and Inova is denying any financial assistance due to this reason. Meaning she is responsible for any expenses at this time including: medical equipment, physical therapy and office visit fees.

We are helping her out as much as possible but I'm sure she would appreciate any additional help!
