Aslan’s journey to San Francisco began on the streets of Oman, where compassionate rescuers stepped in to save his life. He was in poor health—suffering from an infection, facial injuries, and a persistent cough—but even then, his gentle spirit shone through.

Today, Aslan is safe in the care of Give Me Shelter Cat Rescue, continuing his healing journey here in San Francisco.

Despite everything he has endured, Aslan is incredibly loving. He adores cuddling, purring, and sleeping right beside you. Once he builds trust and bonds with his human, his loyalty runs deep.

After his initial recovery, they discovered that Aslan was completely blind. He hasn’t let that slow him down. But his challenges didn’t stop there—he later tested positive for FIV, and his eyes began to deteriorate further. Most recently, we learned he has painful resorptive lesions in his teeth, requiring dental surgery to relieve his discomfort.

A generous donor has offered to cover the cost of his eye enucleation surgery. We are now working to raise funds toward his dental surgery, so he can finally be free from the constant pain caused by these lesions.
