It's been about a year since Boyd left the hospital due to COVID-19. He's strong, but COVID was rough on him and this past year has proven difficult. While doctors initially thought he would only need oxygen for a few weeks after leaving the hospital, it has become evident that the damage done to his lungs will last the rest of his life, which means he will need to be on oxygen.
Over the last year, Boyd has lost about 60% of his income because he doesn't have the strength to work as much as he used to. Disability has been denied a couple of times already, but he has recently submitted another request for disability. With the expense of all of his medications, the oxygen machine, and diminished income, we are reaching out to his friends to ask for your help one more time.
We have set a goal of $6,000 to help cover living expenses and possibly buy an oxygen machine for Boyd so that he doesn't have the high monthly expense of renting one. We are hopeful that this amount will cover him until disability is approved. Boyd is always willing to help others, even now, and absolutely hates to ask for help for himself, that's why we are asking for him (he's also a little technologically challenged. ;) but that's beside the point).
If you are able to help out, any amount would be greatly appreciated.
