Asking for help, grateful for any.

Hello everyone. I know some of you may know what happened already, but for those of you who don’t - Justin, the man I love, the guy I cannot imagine my life without, and the person who has helped me time and time again, was hit by a car while biking to work on Tuesday morning. His shoulder was dislocated (still is technically) and suffered a broken vertebrae. Basically, he is MESSED up (he flipped up and over the car, his bike is destroyed). He cannot do simple things like walk or turn over in bed without extreme pain. Most importantly, he cannot work, and we have no idea when he’ll be able to go back to work.

While we’re both very thankful that he is simply alive, we’re also scared. The two of us signed a lease on a new apartment together starting in February, but I can’t move in until July. Long story, but Justin was going to pay for my portion of rent until then. It’s expensive. In a normal situation he’d be able to afford it just fine, but we’re not in a normal situation. He’s using all of his accrued vacation and sick days, but that only covers a small fraction of the time he’ll be out of work.

The gist - I’m asking for help while he’s out of work. I’m only asking close friends because I don’t want him to know I’m asking for help. It may seem silly, but I’m a very private person and I’d like to keep it close. Even if I didn’t come close to my goal, the peace of mind that would come from a single donation would mean a lot to me.
