Hi, my name is Doug Merta. I've created this Go Fund Me page in the hopes that we can come together to raise funds to offset mounting medical bills and living expenses for my brother and friend, singer songwriter, Greg Stryker.

Greg has been sick for about a year now, has been in and out of multiple hospitals including the University of Michigan, and has seen numerous doctors since. He has been diagnosed with a rare form of rheumatoid arthritis (rheumatoid cachexia) which is a severe form of muscle wasting. Greg was also recently diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis which causes skeletal muscle weakness in the eyes and face, and makes walking and basic movements difficult and painful. The doctors think there's a third underlying health issue but are struggling to diagnose, and needless to say Greg hasn't had a music gig in almost a year. No income is coming in and medical bills are piling up along with the regular, every-day bills and costs that we all have. Please understand that songwriting and playing is how Greg makes his living. His hands at times are so swollen that he can't even grip his guitar. He's lost a tremendous amount of weight, and, even though he has some medication, he's in incredible pain most of the time and desperately needs our help. I'm asking friends, fans, and people that have worked with Greg to consider donating, or sharing this and getting the word out to help as best as we can. Thanks. Doug
