Hi, we're Leila (mom), Aleah (our sweet 4-year-old), and Ava (our cuddly 7-month-old). We're reaching out this winter season for a little help to stay in our home during these challenging times.
Right now, our rent is $4,600 (not including utilities like heat and electricity), but we're only asking for $2,500 to help us cover what we can’t manage.
This has been one of the hardest seasons of our lives. Mai has been in the hospital since November 9, paralyzed and unable to speak due to multiple strokes. We've spent many days by her side, trying to be there for her while juggling the needs of our family.
My husband is unable to work due to mental health challenges, and I'm currently on maternity leave caring for Ava. With everything so expensive these days, we’ve cut back as much as we can. We’ve kept Christmas simple, reusing and hand-making what we could for our girls. Sadly, we won’t even be having a Christmas dinner this year.
We’re asking for your kindness to help us stay in our home, avoid moving during the cold, wet winter, and give us a little breathing room to figure out our next steps.
Any donation—big or small—means the world to us. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story, and if you can’t donate, sharing this page would also help us immensely.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
