I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this, but I’m currently behind on my rent and scheduled for eviction court next week.

I work full-time and have been doing everything I can to stay afloat and catch up at the same time, including side jobs outside of my regular job, but what started out as a struggle to cover an unexpected expense for my daughter, while also covering basic needs like groceries at the time has led to this hole I’m now in. My landlord has been lenient, and is kind, but understandably is threatening eviction. A close friend of mine suggested I try this.

As the one who holds things together for my family, I’m used to being the help for everyone else. So this isn’t easy for me to do—but right now, I can’t fix this on my own.
