Mrs. Hershey has been a schoolteacher for 30 years, teaching psychical education and health, elementary school, high school, and she has coached just about everything. Unfortunately, Mrs. Hershey was diagnosed with cancer last year. Recently, she found out that she was unable to get the surgery she needed, and that her cancer has become resistant to the chemotherapy. Her doctors felt it would be more beneficial to change her treatment instead of giving her surgery, so for the past few weeks she has been on a new chemo. Mrs. Hershey is known and loved by many, especially her students and fellow staff members. She has touched the lives of not only mine, but hundreds of students at Medina High School now, and in the previous years. She is a wonderful teacher and friend to so many of us. She's full of life, spirit, and hope, and because of this I wanted to do something for her. I will be raising money for Mrs. Hershey that she could use towards groceries, medical bills, etc. Every dollar you donate counts.
