We share this news with grief ridden heart and shock that our beloved friend Asish Penugonda is no more with us. Asish fell to his death from the cables up the north side of Half Dome in Yosemite National Park. He was with other hikers on the steel cables that lead to the top of Half Dome at around 4:30 p.m. Monday May 21 2018 during a thunderstorm, according to the National Park Service.
Rangers were told that the asish slipped from the cables and fell to his death.
Asish has been the epitome of character and a sunshine of positivity to everyone surrounding him. The people who knew him would always remember the good he did and for the surreal strength of morality he has been when they need him.
He will always be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers.
We would request you to contribute your share to send Asish back home safely to his family and provide some assistance for his family to handle final rites in India.
