إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
"Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register." - Qur'an, 36:12
On the 4th of July 2016, during the holy month of Ramadan, and whilst fasting, my father, Asim Shafi, sadly passed away from an unexpected acute heart failure, leaving behind a gaping hole in the lives of those who loved him as a son, a husband, a father, a brother and an uncle. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing my Dad could tell you just how extraordinary he was and how hard he worked to provide for his family and how his generosity extended to all those less fortunate than ourselves. Whenever we visited our family in Pakistan, he would encourage my brother and me to help people in need. He would buy food and clothes so that we could distribute them to the young children on the street and the vulnerable families that could not provide for themselves.
In honour of this tradition he started for our family, and in the spirit of Ramadan, we would like to raise money to aid relief work in underprivileged areas in
countries such as Pakistan and in war-torn regions like Syria and Palestine. We would be greatly appreciative of any donation you could make. No amount is too small and could go a long way to help feed, clothe and protect another human life, a cause my Dad felt so strongly about. ان شاء الله may we all reap Allah swt's rewards from partaking in acts of charity.
Thank you in advance for your contribution!
