It is with a heavy heart that I share the loss of my beloved wife, Janise Cook. Over the past year, Janise faced serious health challenges, including knee replacement surgery that led to a staph infection, complications with her esophagus, and a diagnosis of atrial fibrillation. Despite her fears, she showed incredible strength through multiple surgeries and a difficult recovery. I retired early to care for her full-time after losing our life insurance, but while she was still in the hospital, Janise suffered a heart attack and passed away on August 28, 2025.

Now, I am left with overwhelming medical bills and funeral expenses that were not covered by insurance, as well as the loss of Janise’s Social Security benefits which helped support us. My mortgage and utility bills continue, and managing these costs

on my own has become an immense challenge.
