World University Championships

Hello, my name is Ashwath. I am a student at the University of Michigan who was recently selected to represent the United States at the World University Championships. The costs of travel and training are significant, and I would appreciate any contribution towards helping me compete at this event.
I am a rising junior at the University of Michigan majoring in neuroscience. I first developed a passion for rowing when I began the sport as a freshman in high school for Northville Rowing. I was team captain for Northville Rowing, a two-time Midwest champion in the single and double sculls, and a competitor at Canadian Henley in the U19 single. I also enjoy listening to podcasts, coaching young rowers, volunteering at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, and spending time with my younger brother, Karthik. I am a pre-med student who also works in C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Oncology department.
This past season I won gold at the ACRA National Championship with the University of Michigan Men's Rowing Team. I look forward to the opportunity to represent the best of the University and my hometown, Northville, at this international event.
