Ashton's Army

As many of you already know my nephew was born with Myelomeningocele Spina Bifida in 2008. After major surgery and physical therapy we were unsure if he would even walk, but he has far surpassed all expectations. Ashton is your typical happy, smart, energetic 7 1/2 year old young man. With one exception of residual nerve damage, Ashton has gone through his second surgery this year. These surgeries come with major cost, for a whole year insurance never even covered Ashton's medical supplies, it was all "out of pocket" for my sister and brother in law. All these costs have slowly added up. My brother in law has worked extremely hard going back to school and working full time (plus lots of extra hours) to provide support for his family. While allowing my sister to stay home and care for not only Ashton and my niece, but also my daughter. Those who know my sister Chrissy personally know how wonderful of a mom she is. There is always a fun craft or learning activity the kids are working on and some yummy treats baking in the oven. She sells wonderful crochet hats, blankets, and tasty cakes/cupcakes to help supplement their income. They have never once in 7 years asked for any help, but instead every year raise money for the Spina Bifida foundation and walk for Spina Bifida. This Christmas season I'm asking you all to help me raise money directly to support Ashton's Spina Bifida. All money raised will go directly to pay for Ashton's medical bills.
