To most of you, this story will come as a surprise.
On May 31st, Ashton went for a routine eye exam only to be sent for an urgent MRI. Unfortunately, it confirmed a tumor beginning to surround her optic nerve.
Ashton will undergo surgery to remove the mass Thursday, August 3rd. The surgeon is very optimistic for a successful removal; however, her recovery time will be 5-6 weeks.
A newly wed, and had only begun a new career 3 weeks prior to her diagnosis, has left her with much added stress leading up to her surgery date. No Bueno!! She should go into recovery without the stress of staggering medical bills that will begin to pour in.
Ashton is extremely proud, and has been hesitant to tell many people of this bump in her road; She should know how many people truly love and care for her! I read a quote recently, "strength comes from struggles". She is the strongest person I know... she is my super hero.
