Ashton Valdez

I'm Jaclyn Franz and I'm here to ask for a pour out of love for the Valdez family.

Ashton Valdez is 12 years old. He is hilarious and brings a smile to anyone’s face that he meets. On Wednesday December 1st Ashton came home from school with a runny nose and just not feeling well. Ashton is very asthmatic so right away he took his usual breathing treatment and his mom started watching his oxygen levels closely. At 4 Am his mother Autumn took him to the emergency room because his oxygen levels dropped too low. Right away they transported him to Toledo Children’s Hospital where he is listed as Respiratory Failure in the Picu Unit (Pediatric Intensive Care).

During his stay Ashton has faced many challenges. He has been hooked up to many machines and I'v's His parents have been told that if and when Ashton comes home they have a long road to recovery and things won’t be the same.

Ashton remains in the Picu Unit and is fighting for his life. He was placed on a ventilator December 6th given a 25% chance of survival. He continues to fight.

Ashton's Father Ruben Valdez who will be off work for at least a few months depending on how things go. He is the only source of income for the family. His mother Autumn Valdez is a stay-at-home mom because of Ashton's prior health conditions, and now will not be able to return back to the work force. Ashton also has 5 siblings. Austin (20) who is in the Marine Corps. Tony (19) Alex (17) Joey (14) Audrina (13).
