Support Ash’s very unique brain tumor

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Angie and I'm fundraising for Asher, who's like a grandson to me, his parents just found out that he has a Very Rare tumor on his brain stem that has never been seen or diagnosed in a child before.

On August 5th, my "daughter Rachel took Asher to Hugo, Co ER after going to 3 different ERs, doctors, and even a dentist to see why Asher keeps having neck aches. All they kept telling her was he had "tech neck" over and over. On the 5th Rachel's mother's instinct took over and when they were in Hugo Ash got a CT scan as every 5 yr old does squirm during and if not for him moving they wouldn't have found the tumor on his brain stem. As soon as they saw it they rushed him to Children's Hospital in Aurora where he underwent emergency brain surgery on Monday the 7th.
After 7hours of surgery, Asher has had a rough recovery. We had to wait 15 days to find out that Asher had a very "unique tumor" that has only been found in adults and not once in children.

Asher has 2 types of tumors a grade 1 subependymoma and a Grade 3 ependymoma. While they got the majority of it in surgery there are bits left that are intertwined on nerves by the brain stem which he needs to get radiation but not until he gets better from meningitis and MRSA he contracted while trying to recuperate from the brain surgery.

This is important to me because I've known Rachel (mom) for over 20 years and she is like my 3rd daughter. She and her husband have been at the hospital practically 24/7 with Asher and my other daughter has been watching their oldest who is 8 and trying to understand what's going on. These 2 boys have NEVER been apart from each other in their lives. Now going on day 17 they have got to see each other twice.

While Rachel stays home with the boys: my son-in-law is a mechanic out in Burlington Colorado which is over 3 hours away from the hospital and has now missed 3 weeks of work being at the hospital making sure both Asher and his wife are ok and visiting their other son as much as they can. Rachel suffers from fibromyalgia and scoliosis on top of caring for the 2 boys and staying at the hospital all this time is taking a toll on her.

Any donations and prayers are greatly appreciated. With both parents at the hospital and dad being outta work for 3 weeks and possibly more once the radiation treatments start Asher will have to go to the hospital Mon-Fri, so 5 days a week for 4-6 weeks. With them living in Vona, Co will be trying on them and the way gas prices are soaring and their car is an older car making it back and forth I hope to at least have Rachel and Asher down here till the radiations are over. ALL donations will go to the family for house, car, utilities and past bills along with what might come along with the recovery of Asher. Mom and Dad are in their late 20s and have scratched and saved to provide for the boys. I just want to make sure this does not affect them financially with everything coming due.

Thank you for your time in reading this and Blessings to you all.
