Ashlyn's Artist Dreams in Sweden!

Hi, my name is Ashlyn. I am a recent college graduate with a degree in art, and I am preparing to move to Sweden to study at the Swedish Academy of Realist Art (SARA). It has been my dream to learn traditional realist art techniques at an atelier like SARA. I love to create art that leaves a positive impact on others. My art journey began when I was in middle school as a way to express myself where words couldn't. Since then, I have been challenging myself with new approaches and subject matter in my art. Through high school and college, I made it part of my goal to use art as a vehicle to touch the lives of others. I organized clubs to go to senior living facilities and lead art lessons with my peers. We were also able to do chalk art on the sidewalks on campus to share encouraging messages to those that passed by. I would love to continue doing similar things in my community when I return from my trip. 

 

I write this today because your generosity will help make a difference in my journey. The tuition is $12,000 a year and expenses for rent, food, health care, VISA, and travel fares will be $10,000. I would love your contribution to help me with these expenses and going towards art supplies. I am so grateful that you took the time to read about my journey.
