Hello, my name is Ashlyn and my husband, Jose and I are embarking on a new journey together to become parents. We have been together 10 years and married for 7 years and have been wanting to start a family for quite some time. We have struggled with infertility issues for several years (I had to have my left fallopian tube removed in October 2014 due to a complete blockage) and as an attempt to help I had gastric sleeve surgery in August of 2022. This helped get my body healthier and ready to carry a baby, and unexpectedly we found out we were pregnant 10/30/2023. Little did we know, our little baby didn’t have a heartbeat and we suffered a miscarriage in November. Since then we have tried all sorts of supplements and everything to try for another baby but have been unsuccessful. In June we decided to try for professional help and we recently gathered a diagnosis of both male and female factor of infertility in which the doctor feels our highest chance of conception is by IVF. As many know, IVF is not cheap and it’s really hard to come up with the funds completely on our own. They are estimating for the first cycle of IVF that it will be around $6700 but that does not include any of the medication, anesthesia charges, or the other doctor visits and exams that go with it. The medication alone is estimated between $4000-$7000. We are not here to ask for a handout, but I’ve created this for our friends and family who encouraged it. If you feel inclined to help us on this journey we would be forever grateful! I am more than happy to provide proof of whatever is donated is contributing to our IVF fund directly and I have the email of estimate from our doctor as well.
