Ashlyn & Josh House Fire Support
Donation protected
On April 6, Ashlyn and Josh moved into a house in preparation for their baby’s arrival in July. They put a lot of effort into making this their home and establishing themselves for their future. Seven days after moving in an electrical fire caused by the dryer motor occurred while just Ashlyn and Tipsy were home. At first the dryer had just began to smoke and Ashlyn was able to air the house out and thought things were under control. When she stepped down from trying to turn off the smoke detector, she turned around and the washer/dryer unit began to flame and smoke heavily. Ashlyn immediately called 911 and for Josh to come home and she was able to get out of the house with Tipsy. Structurally, the house still stands but all of their personal belongings and furnishings have extensive damage from the smoke and very little will be salvageable because of the toxins from the type of fire. Since they had been living there for only a week, their renter’s insurance wasn’t in place yet so they are at a complete loss.
The most important thing is that Ashlyn, Josh, Tipsy (the dog) and baby are all safe. That in itself is a blessing and we are so thankful. They lost their belongings and over time the replaceable stuff will be replaced. But life requires us to have the ‘stuff’ we need to live.
Lets try to ease some of the financial burden and help Ashlyn & Josh get back on their feet. Please contact me or them with any questions or concerns. Thank you all for your support and prayers.
