Hi my name is Traci. I saw a story on Channel 5 news Nashville yesterday that struck a chord with me. It was a story about Ashlyn Cartwright and her 4 children. On July 2, 2025, the lost their home in Millersville, TN due to a severe mold problem. They had only be in their rental home for about a month and a half before they were forced to move due to the mold issue. The city of Millersville got involved after her landlord would not hire a mold remediation company when she suspected they had an issue and she called the city to see if they could help and they had no other option except to have her and the children vacate the property immediately for obvious health concerns. They were not able to take anything with them. They lost their clothes, bedding, furniture or anything else due to how severe the issue was at the time. Currently the children are staying with family out of state and Ashlyn is now homeless, living in her car. She and her children moved here to start a new life due to domestic violence issues. They do not have any friends or family in the area. They were starting fresh in a new town. As a native Nashvillian, I want to show her what the south is all about and that is family, friends, kindness and southern hospitality.
