Ashly Rose

Over a month ago, my dear friend Ashly Rose suffered a stroke at the age of 34 years old. She was admitted to ICU, then transferred to a regular room, and then transferred to a rest home facility for physical therapy rehab for her leg and arm. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be 34 years old living in a rest home, hanging out in a wheelchair, playing checkers with people that are your grandparents age. I will tell you that she 100% made the best of it while she was there. But now, comes the hard part. Ashly is home and is walking with a cane and cannot go back to work for God knows how long. She has many specialists and physical therapy appointments for her road to recovery. Ashly is a mother of two boys, a very hard working hairstylist in Ormond Beach, Florida, very active in her community, and is an educator for Hattori Hanzo Shears. Hanzo is where we came together to become two of the closest friends. She’s one of the most compassionate souls that I’ve ever met and has a rough exterior like myself. She is one of the most giving people that I know. It’s very hard to see a friend go through something like this and have absolutely no control over anything. During her time of hospitalization, she has had to close both her salon and her barbershop. I realize that 2020 has dealt us a handful of crap but I can’t imagine what she is going through right now not being able to provide for her two boys and to lose everything that you’ve worked so hard for. Ashley will probably be really mad at me for this but my boss, Andrew Reeves, and I decided that it was time to do it, so here we are! Thank you so much for anything that you can possibly do. All of this will go straight to Ashly and the boys. Well wishes!
