My grandad who is 83 years old, and also an EX nuclear test veteran from the south Pacific, lost his wife of 62 years in September 2020. He was devastated when my nan passed away, and started to become a little depressed, not knowing how he was going to cope.. In February 2021 he tested positive for covid along with pneumonia. On top of all that he has underlying health conditions such as Asbestosis, COPD and asthma.
He suffered so bad, we as a family wasn't sure if he was going to make it or not. My grandad thankfully made it through and came out even stronger than he ever was. He made the decision to start the gym at anytime fitness.
They've been so supportive of him with every step he's made.. On the 5th of February this year (2022) my grandads world shattered once again, as his son Darran lost his battle to prostate cancer at the young age of 60, A loving son, husband, father, grandad and uncle... My grandad has dealt with so much the last 18 months from caring full time for my nan to losing both his wife and son in the space of 17 months, he puts a brave face on every single day and amazes everyone by continuing to go to the gym every day and keeping his mind occupied....He even received some lovely condolence messages from ex football players thanks to Anytime fitness...
My grandad has made a decision to do a skydive for charity (PROSTATE CANCER UK) on the 15th April this year, and a video of proof will be uploaded once completed...
