Hi! My name is Ashley Yarborough and I am currently a senior in high school. Graduation is quickly approaching, and that means college is right around the corner. I applied to several colleges and universities and was accepted to all except one.  I decided to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro because it's the best fit  for me. Furthering my education is SO important to me, because I have big dreams for myself. 

I aspire to be an advocate for human rights, a filmmaker, and work as a Public Relations Specialist for a Non-Profit organization. This may seem like a lot to juggle, but I know that I can turn these dreams into a reality. 
However, I CAN'Tdo this without your help. Unfortunately I did not receive any financial aid or scholarship from the University in which I chose to attend.  I am from a Single-Parent home and my Mother works hard to provide for my brother and I, but a college education is expensive.  I applied for multiple scholarships, but I will not know if I am awarded any  until as late as the Fall.    

My tuition for the 2015-2016 school year alone will cost $21, 304. With the expenses of school books, room and board, and a meal plan I will have to pay around $33,000 out of pocket. Not attending college is NOT an option for me, but it is very expensive. With the money receive, I will get all I can out of my college experience. I plan to study abroad, be apart of many different clubs and organizations on campus, intern with some amazing businesses that will help me develop my career, and participate in mission trips through my university. 

I am creating a path that will allow me to change the world one life at a time, so will you invest in my future? Will you invest in yours?
