Ashley's Visual Bucket List
Ashley's health struggles began as an infant when she was diagnosed with a genetic disorder that caused her liver to fail. At age 6, on 10/10/10, Ashley received a successful liver transplant.
Her health struggles have continued as she and her family worked with doctors to repair the damage to done to her body during the years her liver didn't work properly and she is now facing a truly heartbreaking prognosis. She is going blind.
Retinal degeneration, likely caused by the toxins that built up in her body before her liver transplant, has continued and is progressing faster than originally thought. Recent tests show that in the last 11 months she has lost the same amount of sight as what doctors typically expect a person with this condition to lose in 5 years.
Doctors are predicting that she will be without sight within two to four years.
Please help her family give this sweet child spectacular memories to visualize after her sight is gone. All money raised here will be used for experiences and related travel expenses for the family as they give her as many experiences as possible before her sight is gone.
