My name is Ashley Duran and I have created this account to assist my cousin.
Please help us to raise funds for Ashley Shea's medical treatments! Kevin will also be out of work to care for Ashley during this difficult time. Kevin and Ashley also have a handsome 5 year old little boy, Jesse. These funds will really help not only pay for the hospital medical bills but to help support the family with their needs.
Ashley and her beautiful family (Kevin and Jesse) need all the help and prayers they can get. Any assistance you are able to provide no matter how big or small would be so greatly appreciated!
On Saturday, 12/19 Ashley came down with a stomach bug and was vomiting. She went to Valley View medical center on Tuesday 12/22, and they gave her anti nausea and acid reducer meds, did and ultrasound of her gall bladder which was swollen and that was it. She continued to be sick for the next few days. On Christmas morning she opened presents with her son and Kevin, then went back to bed. A bit later Kevin went in the room to check on her and she was pale and hardly breathing. He carried her to the car and rushed her to WARMC. There they found out she had pneumonia, sepsis and her kidneys were failing. She had a breathing mask on to help with breathing. With just the mask on and constantly throwing up, her oxygen never got above 70. She was to be airlifted to Las Vegas and intubated. She arrived at Summerlin Medical center er and was transferred to ICU around 3am 12/26.
She has been on a ventilator since and was on 4 bp meds tons of antibiotics and pain meds. She coded twice in one day for about 2 minutes each time. But they were able to bring her back. Right now she is on bp meds. Her oxygen levels are getting better. We do know that she has brain waves but we do not know at this time her actual brain function. She is in very critical condition and very sick and her kidneys are not functioning. She is on the ventilator but unresponsive.
The results of the infection is strep pneumonia and she still has sepsis so she will be on kidney dialysis.
Although Ashley is making progress she will have a long recovery ahead of her. Please help us to relieve the financial burdon from the family.
We really just need a miracle and lots of prayers. Thank you so much for your thoughts and concerns.
