Ashley's fundraise for Children's Miracle Network
Tax deductible
Hello there! My name is Ashley Chiang and I am representing the University of California Riverside Delta Gamma (DG) sorority in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity’s “Miss Minerva 2019”. As a part of this fundraising event, DG sorority will be raising funds until March 1st for SAE’s philanthropy, the Children’s Miracle Network. As a part of this pageant, myself and other sisters from different UCR sororities, have been selected to compete against one another to raise as much as we can for this wonderful charity. The top fundraiser will be crowned “Miss Minerva 2019”. The Children’s Miracle Network is a nationwide non-profit organization that raises funds for children’s hospitals, medical research and community awareness of children’s health issues. It truly is an honor to be representing my sorority as I am only a first year but have been given this opportunity to support a wonderful cause. All funds and proceeds raised will be towards the Children’s Miracle Network!
Prior to my attendance at UCR, I was a member of Make-A-Wish in my high school career and helped serve as a publicist for a short period. Also, I am an older sister to my younger brother, Aaron, who has autism. Growing up with a brother with a disability, I was taught to really care for and love those with special needs and sicknesses and I looked beyond their state of being to define them. As well, I love children and helping them truly is something I am passionate about. Luckily for my family, we were fortunate enough to be able to provide Aaron with doctors and experts who are specialized in his field of disability. In a likewise manner, by providing any support would be assisting in the expansion of medical research and community awareness. So, as I raise funds for UCR SAE’s philanthropy, the Children’s Miracle Network, I would be so grateful for any contributions to assist me in helping this wonderful cause. Thank you so much!
