Ashley’s Women’s Pro Baseball Tryout Journey

My name is Ashley, and I’ve been passionate about baseball for as long as I can remember. My love for the game began after watching the movie A League Of Their Own, and for the past 20 years, I’ve dedicated myself to playing both baseball and softball. Now, I have the incredible opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. to try out for the Women’s Pro Baseball League from August 21st to 25th. This is a dream I’ve held onto for years, and I’m determined to give it my all.

Growing up, I was told that girls couldn’t play baseball and that softball was my only option. But I never let that stop me from pursuing what I love. This tryout isn’t just about me—it’s about showing young girls everywhere that there is a place for them in baseball, and that they don’t have to settle for less. I want to break barriers and inspire the next generation of female athletes to follow their dreams, no matter what obstacles they face.

The funds raised will help cover my travel and lodging expenses for this important trip. Every contribution brings me one step closer to making history and proving that girls belong on the baseball field. Thank you for supporting my journey and helping me show the world what’s possible.
