on may 23rd i got terrifying news that they found a honey dew melon size mass in my stomach area. they do believe that it is in the ovary. it is still very unclear if it is cancer. the 3 doctors i have seen say it’s still a 50/50 chance.

luckily i do have insurance through my work but i still have to come up with copays and co insurance and the premiums because im off work.

they took me off work because im in so much pain. my pain gets to a ten most days. i thought maybe we just needed a new mattress since im getting older. but no it’s the honey dew melon squeezing on my insides.

i’m not one to ask for help but i don’t know what else to do at this point. i haven’t worked since may 23rd and i haven’t worked at my work long enough to get FMLA. i’m not yet a california resident for disability. and i only had a few hours of pto left. i’m trying to figure out a way.

i had surgery this friday june 27th. where they opened me up all the way because my mass is to large to come out laparoscopically. luckily no hysterectomy was needed. but the mass was a lot larger than they realized. i’m still in the hospital waiting to get the go to be released. the recovery is 7-8 weeks. now we wait while they send it for biopsy and then we will find out if it’s cancer or not.

i just need to make it through this so i can get back to work. i hate to ask but anything would be helpful. even if you can just share too and please keep me in your prayers. i love you all so much and can’t wait for this nightmare to be over.
