Heaven is a halfpipe Ashleys Skatepark Memorial

Ashley Mabbott was a beautiful, kind hearted human being. He put everyone else first, never ever had a bad word to say about anybody.. even when people weren't the nicest to him.
In 2016 Ashley took his own life.
It was devastating news which broke all of our hearts.
Ashley didn't seem any different, how hard it must have been to put on such a brave face and see his friends and family even though he was battling the demons inside his head.
Before Ashley passed away, Ashley was petitioning to have a skate park built on StockHill Park, Basford but nothing ever came of it.
I have reached out the the local council who have said that their wouldn't be enough room on the park for the project but would like to build one on Broxtowe Country Park instead where they have some funding already and there is plenty of space.
(We are waiting for a surveyor coming out to check the grounds, if the grounds aren't suitable the skatepark will be built on another local park to where we grew up)
As teenagers me, Ashley and other close friends would hang out down there and also camp! So this park also makes sense!
I would like to raise the money to have a memorial plaque built into the park and also raise the money to go towards the park for the council to make it the best it can be.
I would like to have his name somewhere within the park as a memorial but also to put a message in regards to mental health somewhere on the park too.
The park would be good for children to hang out instead of on the streets and keep them busy and hopefully away from crime.
