Ashley's Semester In Rome
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Ashley Hinojosa. I am currently a sophmore, studying Theology, at the University of Dallas, and I have been very blessed to attend a school that offers one of the best study abroad programs in the country. Next semester I plan on being a part of this program; living in the outskirts of Rome and traveling all over Italy and various parts of Europe. My time across seas will be from January 21st - May 10th (I will be celebrating my birthday there!).
Recently, being a part of this program has become a possibility. It was a very last minute opportunity that presented itself, and I am choosing to take it. It has always been a dream of mine to travel the world. Being a Theology major, I see this as a chance to grow in my faith and spirituality. Not only will I be learning about my Catholic roots and origins, but I will be traveling for about 4 months, constantly discovering new things about the world, various cultures, and myself. One day, I hope to apply this to the youth/people I minister to, by using what I have learned and experienced to better my ministry and service. I firmly believe this program is an opportunity to grow wildly in a way that will allow me to inspire myself, as well as those I hope to one day minister to in my career.
Since this is a very last minute opportunity, saving money and fundraising was not something I had the chance to do. In addition, my family and I have had some rocky trials over the course of this year that concern financial instabilities. If you are reading this, I humbly ask that you consider gernerously donating to my fundraising, for a once in a lifetime trip. All donations will go toward traveling fees. Any amount given would be greatly appreciated, and it would mean the world to me (pun intended)!
Even if you cannot give anything, please continue to pray for me as I continue to pray for you!
Thank you!
