Ashley's PV Battle: Seeking Community Support

Hi friends,

like I’ve previously mentioned I was just diagnosed with PV, which is a form of blood cancer i got from having the Jak2 Gene. Thankfully my condition can be managed and if managed I will live a long healthy life.

However part of management is getting my red blood count down asap which is bi-weekly phlebotomy apts, labs and frequent check ins for 3-6 months. If the phlebotomies don’t succeed, I will have to start a chemo medication that I will have to take the rest of my life (manifest the phlebotomies work pls)

my first phlebotomy is May 15th and with my insurance i have to pay 15% of each visit & we’re still not sure if my insurance will cover the chemo med if I need it.

this is why I am reaching out to my community to ask for some help during these next 3-6 months of treatment. I hate even asking something like this but as most know I am a full time body positive photographer & this last year my business has been struggling financially And now with the medical bills on top of that my plans of getting a part time job are on a hold for atleast the next six months.

the donations will go towards all my copays & cost of living during this time.
