Ashley's Medical Journey

On December 25th, Ashley and her family received the devastating news that she has a non-benign mass on her brain. She is in the wonderful and capable hands of the medical team at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus.

At this point there is limited information, and a tentative surgery scheduled for Thursday 12/28. The family continues to wait on a course of action, and will provide updates to her condition as they are informed.

Fortunately, Ashley does have medical insurance that will hopefully cover some of the expenses. However, we all know that insurance will not cover everything, and the costs for such a daunting diagnosis will be significant.

Of course, Ashley's parents and family will be by her side throughout her journey. Missing a significant amount of work will cause additional financial hardships in addition to medical bills and general daily expenses.

By contributing to this Go Fund Me, you will be helping Ashley and her family focus on her care, and worry just a little less about the financial burden.

On a more personal note, as a friend of Ashley's mom, Laura, I am heartbroken that they are going through this. Many of you, like myself, have known Ashley since birth. Laura is one of the kindest, most thoughtful people I have ever met, and her children have always been her world. Laura is a passionate and selfless advocate for her children, and I know that she will do EVERYTHING she can to get Ashley the best care possible. Creating this Go Fund Me was one small thing that her Hugs-n-Hearts family could do to show her our support.
