Support for Ashley McNamara – A Fighter, A Giver, A True Angel
UPDATE: it’s July 1st and Ashley is home and on her road to recovery!! She has a long had road, however if ANYONE can do it, it’s Ashley! She isn’t going to let this slow anything down! So medically, she is doing well. Will need a couple more surgeries soon…may also be off work for up to a year!
so send her a message of love!

My name is Estella, and I’m proud to call Ashley McNamara one of my very best friends. Anyone who knows Ashley will tell you: she is the kind of person who gives her heart, her time, and her energy to others without ever asking for anything in return. Whether it's supporting her fiancé, caring for the children in her life, or being a devoted granddaughter, Ashley lives a life of service and love. Her true passion is helping women overcome adversity and find safety and hope on the other side. She is, without question, an angel walking among us.

Ashley works full-time at an inpatient treatment center, and recently achieved a major milestone—she earned her Bachelor's degree in Social Work this past December! She’s a proud Mineral Ridge alum, Class of 2002, and she truly shines when she's working directly with clients, giving her all every single day.

But now, Ashley needs our help.

Ashley has lived with epilepsy for years, and just last week underwent brain surgery where doctors placed 48 coils to manage the condition. The plan was to stage the procedures, allowing recovery in between. But only a day after returning home, Ashley began experiencing intense head pain and internal bleeding in her eye.

The following emergency hospitalization revealed something far more serious: a ruptured aneurysm in her abdomen. Her heart stopped—but thanks to the grace of God and the skill of her medical team, she was revived. Her journey has since included multiple surgeries, an open abdominal wound, and now 32 staples holding her together. Tomorrow, we pray she will be out of ICU.

Ashley’s recovery will be long and uncertain. We are still learning about potential deficits and long-term effects. But one thing is absolutely certain: Ashley is a fighter. Her strength is beyond words.

And now, it’s our turn to fight for her.

Ashley has given so much of herself to her community. Let’s come together to give back—whether through financial support, words of encouragement, or sharing her story. She deserves all the love and care she has so freely given to others.

Thank you for standing with Ashley.

With love,
Estella
