Ashley's Healing Fund: Surgery and Moving

Hi, my name is Ashley. I have been a hairdresser in Southern OR for 16 years. The last few years, my health has not been the best. I have been struggling with tonsillitis since this past winter. I have been waiting for my ENT appointment in November. As I’m lucky to have insurance and medical bills to be covered, my husband Kyle and I just got married and are in the process of moving to a much nicer, safer location. As all of our savings are tied up in moving first and last deposits, I will now need to take 14 days off of work to recover. With a couple of ER visits, we decided to not mess around and head to Medford as Providence decided to take me on and get me into ENT within the week, which means surgery will be around the corner. We will be moving at the beginning of September! Many have asked what they can do to help during recovery; foods and dinners for the husband and girl would be appreciated. I’m guessing I’ll be drinking a whole lot of things the first week as it’s imperative to not dislodge the clots that need to form in my throat. Anything that anyone can do to help us during this time would be greatly appreciated! I had major surgery last year that about did me in, and stressing over this one is not on my list. I have too much life to live with my wonderful husband and baby girl who I know will take amazing care of me. I hate that I have to ask, and I try not to, but many have asked, and I appreciate each and every one of you! I will post the surgery date as soon as I get it. I will do my best to work up until I have surgery like I always do. Working has been hard, but I’m hanging in! I am on high-dose steroids to keep my airways clear and open until I can be seen. Kyle has been working as much as he can to alleviate some stress, but he would like to be home with me the first week. We appreciate and love each and every one of you. Thank you, the Rodamers! ❤️
