Help Ashley and Her Children Rebuild After Heartbreak and Flooding
Ashley and the love of her life, Hans, spent 14 years building a life together and raising their two wonderful children, an 11-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son. Last month, heartbreak struck when Hans passed away after a battle with cancer, leaving Ashley and the children facing not only grief but also serious challenges to their home and stability.
Their 100-year-old home in Southern Indiana has been heavily impacted by recent flooding and years of flooding in the area. Without a modern vapor barrier and with a private well system that the weather has strained, the house now faces significant moisture issues. It needs critical repairs to ensure a safe and healthy environment for the family.
Despite these hardships, Ashley has worked tirelessly to maintain a clean, loving home for her children. Last week, in the middle of a downpour, Ashley was outside in the dark, digging trenches by hand to keep the floodwaters from the home.
She supports the family by cleaning houses and doing everything she can to provide continued stability. This is the kind of mother Ashley is — strong, selfless, determined to give her children something to be proud of, even when life keeps stacking the odds against her.
Recently, the home was declared in need of major repairs. Ashley is now seeking help to find a place to live — while restoring their current home with professional upgrades or by relocating to start anew elsewhere.
