Ashley's Fight: 8 Years of Strength

UPDATE: Wednesday July 30
Thank you to everyone who has donated and shared this, it is greatly appreciated!!

Unfortunately, the update that we have is not the outcome that any of us wanted. Ashley passed away late Monday night. She was the most fierce fighter against cancer, for 8 years. She fought as long as she could. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. Please also give them time to process and grieve in their own time and way. We are sad by the loss, but know she is cancer free forever! No more hospitals, treatments, medicines, chemo, radiation, and sickness.

Hello everyone. I am sure most of you know who I am or have at least heard about me, my name is Amber. Ashley is my VERY BEST FRIEND. She is my person ♥️ And while I can’t fix what is happening, I hope that I can help in some small way by asking for help from all of you. {Because we all know Ashley is not one to ask for help for herself, she worries about everyone else}

As most all of you know, Ashley is a fighter!!! And for the last 8 years, she has fought cancer fiercely! All while being a bright light to every single person she has come into contact with. She has truly shown us all what it means to be grateful for every single thing we have and to appreciate each day we are given. Between surgeries, diagnoses, medical appointments, infusions, radiation treatments, and all of the different chemo treatments... she has always been so strong!

Unfortunately, the medical treatments and the cancer are just taking a toll on her body. Ashley was admitted to the hospital last Friday (July 21st), after being pretty sick. She will be released from the hospital hopefully tomorrow (Friday, July 25th) and go back home. There will be some hard days ahead. She will have medical care at home for the foreseeable future because going back and forth to Pensacola from Bay Minette will be too hard for her to handle.

During this time, Ashley’s husband, Jeremy, will be taking time away from work to be with her around the clock. For those that don’t know, Jeremy works offshore, and time away from work will definitely affect them financially. I am hoping that we can love on Ashley and her family, the way that she has loved all of us.

Thank you all so much for your help!!! And please just keep the prayers coming!!!
