Ashley’s Fearless Fight

We received some “weird” news this week. Weird seems like a fitting word because I’m not sure what words you’d use to describe cancer. It’s a horrifying, sad and scary word.
My sister, Ashley was having some issues, went in for a colonoscopy and left the hospital with some devestating news. She has colon cancer.
Because we just found out we don’t know much yet, but the most important is that we caught it early. The second is that in the coming weeks she will be having a surgery to remove the tumor taking about 12” of her colon. Appointments, scans, tests and the list goes on.
She thankfully has insurance, but that only takes care of some of the monthly accruing bills in life. Not to mention having to take the time off work, keep up with appointments, traveling to Denver, and the cost of 2 young girls.
We are hoping she can take the amount of time off work necessary to have surgery, get healthy and not have to stress over the small things. My mama, and I will be here with her every step of the way as well as friends and family!
If you can help us support her through these next few difficult months we would greatly appreciate it and so would Ash and her girls. Meanwhile, taking the time off work, medical bills are already piling as well as mortgage, cars, and kids daily needs. Please send love, thoughts, prayers and all the good vibes as we scale this mountain together.
