I'm Ashley and I was recently diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma after a visit to the ER for sever abdominal pain. My doctors have told me that I'm lucky that we caught it early- as of right now, long-term treatment isn't expected; I will have to undergo a partial kidney removal surgery in May with 2-4 weeks of recovery time.

I'm fortunate to have insurance through work, but the out of pocket expenses are already piling up. As the primary earner in our household, the thing that keeps me up at night is anxiety over how this will affect my family and our stability. I have some PTO saved up which will be used after my surgery. Aside from a few days off after surgery, my husband will continue to work and help supplement any lost wages, but it won't be enough to cover our monthly expenses alone.

I'm here, humbly asking for support from my wonderful community. I don't know yet how much financial support will be needed, but any amount will go a long way to help us get through the next couple months. All funds raised (after GFM fees) will go towards medical bills, insurance co-payments for upcoming medical appointments, and help to cover the cost of living expenses during recovery.
